COVID lockdown update

Following the news that Victoria is going into lockdown following the recent Covid19 outbreak, we advise the final weekend of the Queenscliffe Literary Festival will be postponed.

The eight events scheduled for May 29 and 30 were to have been a triumphant conclusion for our 2021 Festival, with the first two weekends seeing record attendances to hear some truly outstanding writers and thinkers share their wisdom and insights. None of this would be possible without the generous support of our sponsors, festival friends, and volunteers.

Our hearts are heavy today but the QLF Committee of volunteers is determined to bring these events to the community as soon as it can be arranged.

Thank you for your support and patience as we work through all that needs to be done. Please remember the QLF is brought to you by a small band of local volunteers. We will be in touch with information for ticketholders soon; please refrain from calling or emailing in the meantime.

To our Weekend Three ticketholders, you have two options:

Option One: HOLD

Hold your tickets for those events that we can stage later in 2021. Your ticket will be valid for the rescheduled event, and your seating is locked in, remembering that we allocate seats in the order they are booked. If for any reason we cannot stage the event/s you have tickets for, you will be refunded when that becomes clear.  The current waiting lists of rescheduled events will have first dibs to buy tickets before they are opened to the public.

This means the order of who will have a ticket at the rescheduled event is:

  1. Current ticketholders
  2. Current waitlist
  3. Public

Option Two: REFUND

You are welcome to request a refund of your ticket. Please note though that this means you will not have a guaranteed seat at the rescheduled event.  To request a refund, please compete the details on the linked Google Form and this will be arranged in the coming days.
